On September 4 & 5, 2014, teachers at Westchester Hills School 29 participated in professional development that focused on the need to use data to inform classroom practice. The theme used to engage and motivate them was the concept of Data Football. Teachers collaborated to create grade-level team names, and began plans to incorporate the theme in all school related practices.
Mr. Murphy and the administrative team introduced the first ideas…..Student MVP of the month, Classroom Playbooks, Data Fields on display, etc. In the spirit of collaboration, the PTSA graciously provided food for the Tailgate Lunch Party. The 2014-2015 school year is off to a great start. The Westchester Hills School 29 family invites you to view the photos taken during the two day professional development.
